CE Marking

All SAS Systems that are subject to a hEN require a Declaration of Performance (DoP), which shows the actual performance of the product. Products, packaging or accompanying documents need to include the CE mark and its performance.

CE Marking came into force on 24th April 2011 under the Construction Products Directive; full legislation relating to UK manufactures, importers and distributors came into force on the 1st July 2013 under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR).

It only applies to Harmonised European standards (hEN) and voluntarily for European Technical Assessments (ETA) where they have been issued. Details of conformity are published in Annex ZA of each relevant standard.
