This ceiling design was installed as a modular ceiling solution without cut tiles, meaning SAS International provided several trim solutions for the design to interfaced with the various perimeter conditions. Designed and manufactured off-site, a quantity of the tiles has a tapered edge to merge seamlessly with the overall outline of the building.

SAS150, a perforated concealed Class A sound absorption, concealed grid solution, was installed in meeting rooms as it maximises access to the ceiling void.

In the executive meeting rooms and boardrooms, SAS720 was specified for a linear, contemporary aesthetic and the ability to integrate services. Full access to the ceiling void was also required in circulation corridors. Therefore, SAS205 was supplied into these areas.

In the building’s restaurant SAS600 was specified. Featuring floating acoustic rafts, this solution suits a variety of spaces where acoustic absorption and aesthetics are crucial design and practical requirements.

SAS International was chosen for its ability to provide a full range of products across different areas of the building. SAS International worked in partnership with architect, Michael Collins Associates, and contractor, Bennett Construction, on this wide-scale project.

Completed in October 2018, Grant Thornton’s new headquarters are a fine example of sustainable architecture at its height, which SAS International is proud to have worked on.
